Demolition work has started on the new Milan Puskar Center weight room, located on the field level of the stadium underneath the south end zone.

Construction began right after Christmas and will continue through July when the project is scheduled to be completed. A temporary weight room has been established in the back part of the Caperton Indoor Practice facility so off-season workouts will not be interrupted.

Recently, it was announced that former Mountaineer standout Bruce Irvin made a $100,000 contribution toward funding for the new weight room. March Westin is the general contractor for the project.
