Coliseum Parking Reduced Thursday, Friday
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The Fox College Saturday Tour will make its first appearance in Morgantown this weekend, and the interactive fan event will be located in the WVU Coliseum parking lot, which will reduce Coliseum parking for students, faculty and staff on Thursday, Oct. 17, and Friday, Oct. 18.
The FOX College Saturday Tour coupled with RV parking on Friday for the WVU vs. Texas Tech football game will severely limit Coliseum parking, especially on Friday. Students, faculty and staff, who park in the lots on a daily basis, are asked to make note of the reduced parking on Thursday and the very limited parking on Friday.
To offset the parking loss, all are reminded that short-term parking is available at Mountaineer Station on Van Voorhis Road, at a variety of short-term lots on the Evansdale campus and in downtown parking garages and lots operated by the Morgantown Parking Authority. All of these alternatives have easy access to the PRT and Mountain Line bus system, which is free to WVU students, faculty and staff.
Additional parking for Friday night’s women’s soccer match at 7 p.m. vs. Kansas and men’s basketball’s Gold-Blue Debut preseason scrimmage will be available after 5:30 p.m., in the Natatorium parking lots with the conclusion of the WVU marching band practice. Free parking for the Gold-Blue Debut will also be available at the Chick-fil-A restaurant on Patteson Drive.
The 80-by-100 foot event area will give the Fox Sports production team an opportunity to interact with Mountaineer fans during Saturday morning’s pregame show on Fox Sports 1. The television event will be located in the parking area by the Coliseum Blue gate, and setup will begin on Thursday for on-air segments Friday and the main show on Saturday.
