The West Virginia University men’s basketball team spent its fourth day in Italy, leaving the island of Sicily and flying to Rome, where it will remain until Tuesday.
The Mountaineers, after playing at 6:30 p.m. Thursday night, had a 4 a.m. wake-up call Friday morning in Sicily, departing for the airport at 5 a.m. for their 7:40 a.m. flight to Rome. WVU checked into its hotel around noon, before grabbing some lunch and getting some rest in the afternoon. Coach Bob Huggins and his team had a two-and-a-half-hour practice at a basketball club facility in Rome Friday afternoon.
