West Virginia University Varsity Club Director Dale Wolfley is expecting close to 100 former basketball players on campus for the annual Mountaineer basketball reunion taking place on Saturday, Jan. 12 as part of WVU’s 1:30 p.m. game against Kansas State at the WVU Coliseum.
“We will have a private reception for the guys at Kegler’s on Friday night and we also plan on introducing them at halftime of Saturday’s game against Kansas State,” said Wolfley.
Prior to tipoff, the players will take a tour of the basketball practice facility, and Wolfley will also have several former players on the radio as part of the Huggstown Hall of Traditions Pregame Show that airs locally on WVAQ, beginning three hours before game time leading up to MSN’s pregame coverage. Local radio personality Lacy Neff joins Wolfley on the local show.
Following the game, another private reception for the players will also be held at Keglers. This is the third year for the men’s basketball reunion and this year’s event is sponsored by Wilson Martino Dental and Watchtower Insurance.
