Bevin Named MAC Player of the Week

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Junior Andy Bevin of the WVU men’s soccer team has been named the Mid-American Conference Men’s Soccer Player of the Week for his efforts last week.

Bevin scored two goals and added two assists during three games last week. He took 10 shots, including three shots on goal and currently leads WVU and the MAC with nine points (3 goals, 3 assists).

On Monday against Radford, Bevin assisted on both goals in a 2-2 draw, while he scored two goals to lead the Mountaineers to a 5-4 double overtime victory against No. 8 Indiana on Sunday.

West Virginia returns to Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium for a match against Wright State on Friday, Sept. 13, at 7:30 p.m.
