MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Four members of the West Virginia University men’s soccer team were named to the Academic All-Mid-American Conference (MAC) team on Wednesday, as voted on by Faculty Athletic Representatives at member institutions.

Haydon Bennett and Andy Bevin were each named to the first team. Bennett has 4.0 grade point average as a pre-sport and exercise psychology major, while Bevin carries 3.88 grade point average as a business major. This is the second-consecutive season Bevin has earned the honor.

Zak Leedom (3.87 GPA) and Majed Osman (3.29 GPA) were each named to the honorable mention team.

The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests. Freshmen and junior college transfers in their first year of residence are not eligible for the award.
