MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University men’s soccer team held its annual season-ending banquet last Saturday evening at The Erickson Alumni Center.

Junior Haydon Bennett earned the Coaches Award, while senior Andy Bevin was voted as the Players’ Player of the Year.

Bennett, a defender, was a mainstay on the backline for the Mountaineers in 2013, playing in all 19 games as a centerback.

Bevin adds to a list of already impressive postseason awards that include NSCAA All-Great Lakes Region Second Team and All-MAC First Team. Bevin led the Mountaineers and MAC in goals (9) and points (24) in 2013. He also added six assists.

The WVU men’s soccer team completed 2013 with a 7-7-5 record, including 2-2-2 in MAC play.
