Former West Virginia University standout shooter Nicco Campriani shows off the gold medal he earned at this summer's Olympic Games in London.
Campriani won his gold in the men’s 50-meter 3 position. Campriani became just the fourth WVU athlete in school history to win an Olympic gold medal, joining James Jett (track), Jack Writer (rifle) and Jerry West (basketball).
Campriani also earned a silver medal in the men’s 10-meter air rifle competition.
Campriani, WVU coach Jon Hammond and
Petra Zublasing attended a press conference today in Morgantown to talk about their experiences at the 2012 Olympic Games. Zublasing will be a senior on this year’s Mountaineer team.
