MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University swimming and diving teams will be hosting its alumni this weekend that will feature numerous events.

There will be over 50 alumni making the trip back to Morgantown, led by the first ever full-time head coach in program history, Ronald Gainsford.

“I’m very pleased that this event is being so well attended,” coach Vic Riggs says. “We have alumni from all decades starting in 1954 and we are very excited to have coach Gainsford back for the weekend. We are looking forward to this becoming an annual event.”

Alumni are invited to practice from 2-5:30 p.m. on Friday afternoon, while they are also invited to Saturday’s practice from 6-9 a.m. Both practices will be held at the WVU Natatorium.

On Friday evening there will be a meet and greet at Keglers that begins at 7 p.m.

Prior to the homecoming football game against Baylor at noon, alumni are invited to the Varsity Club tailgate that features food and entertainment.
