Bohman, McLaughlin Earn Big 12 Honors

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. Seniors Bryce Bohman and Liam McLaughlin have been named the Big 12 men’s swimmer and diver of the week, respectively.

Seniors Bryce Bohman and Liam McLaughlin have earned Big 12 weekly honors for their performances at Penn State last Friday. Bohman and McLaughlin were named the Men’s Swimmer of the Week and Men’s Diver of the Week, respectively.

Bohman, a Moline, Ill. native, scored crucial points for the Mountaineers in their dual-meet by placing second in the 200 back (1:47.93), second in the 100 fly (49.69) and third in the 100 back (48.73). Bohman also was a member of the second-place 200 medley relay (1:30.98) team.

McLaughlin, a Medina, Ohio native, continued his strong start to the year with first-place finishes on both the 1-meter (284.47) and 3-meter (324.75) boards.

The women’s side was swept by Texas with Samantha Tucker earning the swimming award and Emma Ivory-Ganja taking home the diving award.

Both the men’s and women’s squad will be back in action this weekend when the Mountaineers host the WVU Invite from Oct. 25-26.
