Big 12 women’s basketball media day is underway in Dallas. West Virginia players Ayana Dunning and Jess Harlee are there along with veteran coach Mike Carey, who has guided the Mountaineers to NCAA tournament appearances in six out of the last nine seasons.

West Virginia was the preseason No. 2 pick in the league before senior center Asya Bussie went down with a season-ending knee injury during preseason practice. Still, the Mountaineers have a strong cast of returning players and a recruiting class that was ranked among the best in the country last year.

Follow a live stream on the Big 12 Digital Network as well on twitter (@WVUsportsBuzz) for today’s happenings. Also, be sure to check out women’s basketball’s official Facebook page for photos and special videos throughout the day. While you are there, be sure to click the “Like” button to have Mountaineer women’s basketball news sent directly to your Facebook wall.

Later today, we will have video from Mike Carey’s press conference, a special behind-the-scenes video with Jess and Ayana, as well as a recap of the morning on WVUsports.com.
