Ali Connelly, Erin Brown and Ashley Ramsey take in a professional soccer match.
MADRID – Our first meal went down without any complaints. A family-run restaurant called Aymara opened today only for our party, serving its famous paellas – a rice-filled dinner with chicken and peppers.

Tonight, the team took in a first division professional soccer match. We saw Rayo Vallecano fall to visiting Villareal C.F., 2-0. It was a great atmosphere with over 10,000 fans in attendance.

A 15-minute bus ride back to our hotel capped off a busy day two in Madrid.

On tap for tomorrow is a guided tour of Madrid, including sites such as the Plaza Mayor, Almudena Cathedral and Puerta de Alcala. The team will also take a tour of Real Madrid’s Bernebeu Stadium – the European soccer giant.

WVU will also take part in its first friendly match of the trip tomorrow evening.

Adios.
