Women's Soccer: Hulyo Added To Roster

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Caitlin Hulyo, a 5-6 goalkeeper who played three seasons at Colorado College, has enrolled at West Virginia University announced women’s soccer coach Nikki Izzo-Brown today.

Hulyo, who is enrolled in West Virginia’s master of human resources and industrial relations program, was a three-year starter and made 51 appearances for the Tigers. She recorded 200 saves and 17 shutouts, and held a 0.96 goals-against average from 2008-10. Hulyo sat out the 2011 season with a shoulder injury.

A Lititz, Pa., native, Hulyo started 18 of 19 matches as a junior, earning 2010 all-conference second team honors. That season, she was named a CollegeSoccer360 National Primetime Performer of the Week for a 12-save effort against then-No. 16 Oklahoma State. Hulyo earned All-Conference USA Third Team accolades in 2009 and was named to the 2008 C-USA All-Freshman Team.

The Mountaineers graduated six seniors from their 2011 BIG EAST championship team, which posted a record of 17-5-0. West Virginia begins the 2012 season on Aug. 17 at home against La Salle.
