Rifle: Campriani Continues to Collect Medals
The Florence, Italy, native shot 598 (100-100-99-100-99-100) in the open relay and 104.2 in the finals, securing the Bronze medal with a 702.2 total. Campriani, the reigning air rifle world champion and the 2011 NCAA air rifle champion, has now won four medals in the last three competitions, as he finished first in air rifle and second in the men’s 50m rifle 3 position at the Milan ISSF World Cup last week. Additionally, he won the men’s rifle 3 position at the London ISSF World Cup on April 28. All-American and rising sophomore Meelis Kiisk, a native of Paide, Estonia, also shot in the competition and finished with a score of 583 (97-99-98-97-96-96). All-American and rising senior Petra Zublasing, the reigning NCAA air rifle champion and Campriani’s Italian National Team teammate, shot 393 (98-99-99-97) in the women’s 10m air rifle competition yesterday.
