MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Senior Bryce Bohman
of the WVU swimming team was the lone Mountaineer competitor on Friday in the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials at the CenturyLink Center in Omaha, Neb.
Competing in the 200 back, Bohman finished in 67th place with a time of 2:05.04.
“It was a good swim by Bryce,” coach Vic Riggs says. “Unfortunately he let the meet get into his head and that cost him a chance at a great swim. We finish with a strong day tomorrow and we’ll see if we can swim with what we’ve learned this week. It’s just a pool.”
Day six on Saturday will feature swims by graduating senior Brad Eichenseer and junior Tim Squires
in the 50 free, graduating senior Taylor Camp in the 100 fly, senior Rachael Burnett
in the 800 free and junior Danielle Smith
in the 200 back.
