ASSISTANT COACH 1 - WOMEN'S ROWING - West Virginia University invites applications for the position of Assistant Rowing Coach. Duties and responsibilities include assisting with the recruitment, guidance, education and development of student-athletes to achieve their fullest potential with the fundamental characteristics and requirements that are necessary to conduct and produce a successful university intercollegiate women’s rowing program while instilling the importance of academic achievements at the Division I level. A bachelor’s degree and 2 – 3 years previous coaching experience is required. Preferable candidates will possess experience at the Division I level.


ASSISTANT COACH 2 - WOMEN'S ROWING - West Virginia University invites applications for the position of Assistant Rowing Coach. COORDINATOR OF SPEED DEVELOPMENT/ASSISTANT STRENGTH COACH - West Virginia University invites applications for the position of Coordinator of Speed Development/Assistant Strength Coach. Duties and responsibilities include assisting with the administration, management and supervision of strength training and conditioning functions for student-athletes participating in the intercollegiate athletics program. The primary responsibilities will include an assignment to football. Bachelor’s degree is required and two years previous strength and conditioning coaching experience is required, as well as a proven success rate in the development of student-athletes. Preferable candidates will possess experience at the Division I level and a Master’s degree. The following certifications are required: SCCC or CSCS certification and first aid, CPR, and AED.


ASSOCIATE ATHLETIC DIRECTOR FOR GOVERNANCE AND COMPLIANCE - The Department of Intercollegiate Athletics invites applications for the position of Associate Athletic Director for Governance and Compliance. The position will be expected to administer the operation and conduct of the Athletic Compliance unit and rules compliance program, assuring that the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics complies with all applicable rules and regulations of the NCAA, Big 12 and West Virginia University. Duties and responsibilities include, providing oversight of the implementation and maintenance of systems for communication, organization, documentation and evaluation to establish accountability in all areas of compliance, supervising the athletic compliance staff including hiring, training and evaluations, investigating and reporting all NCAA rules violations, compiling NCAA and Conference waivers and appeals, and serving in a senior leadership capacity with oversight to NCAA and Conference governance matters. Position reports directly to the Executive Senior Associate Athletic Director. The position will perform other job-related duties as assigned by the Executive Senior Associate Athletic Director or Director of Intercollegiate Athletics. Master’s degree and five (5) years previous experience in NCAA rules compliance at the Division I level, is required.


ASSISTANT ATHLETIC DIRECTOR FOR BUSINESS OPERATIONS - The Department of Intercollegiate Athletics invites applications for the position of Assistant Athletic Director for Business Operations. Duties and responsibilities include assisting the Senior Associate Athletic Director with the overall management of the athletic business office which includes all business operations, travel, accounts payable and receivable, purchasing, budget management and control, ticket office and foundation reconciliation, payroll and inventory control. Provides personnel oversight of the athletic business office including supervision of five (5) full-time staff members. Assists in the development of the annual revenue and expense budget for intercollegiate athletics. Assists in the preparation of the financial pro forma. Manages the athletic budget on a day to day basis and aggressively monitors the budget through monthly meetings with coaches and select unit managers. Assists in the development of longer term capital plan for intercollegiate athletics and the overall management of certain capital projects. Works with the Minor League baseball team and Athletic Department on the operating financials of the baseball park (operating lease). Reports to the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Business Operations. Bachelor’s degree and five (5) years progressive, related experience working in a business office financial setting is required.  Preferable experience includes a Division I college or university athletic business office.


AV REPAIR SPECIALIST - The Department of Intercollegiate Athletics invites applications for the position of AV Repair Specialist - Professional Technologist I. This position will be expected to perform electronic and electrical repairs, modification for audio, video and LED display equipment in addition to computer equipment associated with all scoring and display systems. Duties and responsibilities include, installing, maintaining, and operating complex communication networks employing fiber optics, computer networks and serial data distribution pertaining to timing, scoring and audio visual transmissions, working with network TV and IMG Radio with game day broadcasts interfacing with WVU athletic venues and assisting TV partners with national broadcast networks in televising competitions from Athletic venues. Performance requires knowledge of electronic theory and components, an understanding and use of windows based computers and familiarity with current standards of digital audio and video as specified by SMPTE. Efficient performance is critical.


ELECTRONICS MEDIA TECHNICIAN - The Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is seeking an Electronic Media Technician to provide senior level technical support for scoring, timing and LED video display systems, as well as CATV distribution and other building systems, as required. This person will maintain and design all electronic equipment and systems used for the support of events and daily use of the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. This includes installation, maintenance and design of broadcast interfacing, audio and video distribution to national television networks and statistical data relating to live athletic events. This position requires a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. A degree in Engineering or Engineering Technologies with specialization in Electronics or related field is preferred.1-2 years of concurrent?experience in the following areas are required: Electronic Engineering (Design / Modification / Repair); Sporting Venue Support (Audio / Visual / Broadcast); and Computer skills (Networking / Serial data / Fiber Optics / Windows OS).
