ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF STUDENT-ATHLETE DEVELOPMENT - West Virginia University invites applications for the position of Assistant Director of Student-Athlete Development. The position will be responsible for providing academic support and guidance to student-athletes to contribute to the educational and personal growth of student-athletes. Individual sport assignments will be identified upon hire. Responsibilities include: Evaluating student-athlete academic records to determine eligibility, implementing specific academic programs to assist student-athletes in meeting their educational goals, monitoring student-athletes during study hall and tutoring, and assisting student-athletes in identifying educational and career interests, selecting classes and determining academic majors. Must maintain frequent communication with coaches, faculty, tutors, and University professionals regarding student-athlete progress and concerns. A master’s degree, preferably in education, social science, counseling or a similar field and 2 years of experience in teaching, tutoring or otherwise instructing students in a higher education environment is required. Experience as a graduate assistant is acceptable.


INSTRUCTIONAL ASSISTANT (Part-time) - West Virginia University invites applications for the position of Instructional Assistant. This position will specialize in providing time management, organization and academic success skills to student-athletes, management of sensitive and confidential information related to student-athletes, in addition to knowledge of and adherence to West Virginia University and NCAA regulations. A master’s degree, preferably in education, special education or a similar field and 1 year of experience in teaching, tutoring or otherwise instructing students in a secondary education or higher education environment is required.


ACADEMIC COORDINATOR - West Virginia University invites applications for the position of Academic Coordinator. This position will direct and supervise the academic tutoring program for all student-athletes. Duties include: Recruitment, hiring, training, payroll and appraisal for more than 75 hourly employees. Ensure that tutors are trained on matters of NCAA compliance and academic integrity. Arrange meetings between student-athletes and academic tutors and academic service units. Maintain frequent communication with coaches, faculty, tutors, and university professionals regarding student-athlete progress and concerns. Maintain accurate records and knowledge of student-athlete’s academic schedules to notify coaches regarding classes, tests, appointments, study sessions and community service. A master’s degree and 1-2 years of experience in teaching, tutoring or otherwise instructing students is required. Graduate Assistant experience is acceptable.


BUSINESS OPERATIONS ASSISTANT - West Virginia University invites applications for the position of Business Operations Assistant. Duties and responsibilities include serving as procurement card coordinator, managing payment of invoices, compiling quarterly vendor report, reviewing and auditing all athletics travel, managing leases for various rentals and additional duties assigned to support the athletic business operations. A bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience and 1-2 years experience in generally accepted accounting practices is required.


ASSISTANT COACH 1 - WOMEN'S ROWING - West Virginia University invites applications for the position of Assistant Rowing Coach. Duties and responsibilities include assisting with the recruitment, guidance, education and development of student-athletes to achieve their fullest potential with the fundamental characteristics and requirements that are necessary to conduct and produce a successful university intercollegiate women’s rowing program while instilling the importance of academic achievements at the Division I level. A bachelor’s degree and 2 – 3 years previous coaching experience is required. Preferable candidates will possess experience at the Division I level.

COORDINATOR OF SPEED DEVELOPMENT/ASSISTANT STRENGTH COACH - West Virginia University invites applications for the position of Coordinator of Speed Development/Assistant Strength Coach. Duties and responsibilities include assisting with the administration, management and supervision of strength training and conditioning functions for student-athletes participating in the intercollegiate athletics program. The primary responsibilities will include an assignment to football. Bachelor’s degree is required and two years previous strength and conditioning coaching experience is required, as well as a proven success rate in the development of student-athletes. Preferable candidates will possess experience at the Division I level and a Master’s degree. The following certifications are required: SCCC or CSCS certification and first aid, CPR, and AED.


AV REPAIR SPECIALIST - The Department of Intercollegiate Athletics invites applications for the position of AV Repair Specialist - Professional Technologist I. This position will be expected to perform electronic and electrical repairs, modification for audio, video and LED display equipment in addition to computer equipment associated with all scoring and display systems. Duties and responsibilities include, installing, maintaining, and operating complex communication networks employing fiber optics, computer networks and serial data distribution pertaining to timing, scoring and audio visual transmissions, working with network TV and IMG Radio with game day broadcasts interfacing with WVU athletic venues and assisting TV partners with national broadcast networks in televising competitions from Athletic venues. Performance requires knowledge of electronic theory and components, an understanding and use of windows based computers and familiarity with current standards of digital audio and video as specified by SMPTE. Efficient performance is critical.


ELECTRONICS MEDIA TECHNICIAN - The Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is seeking an Electronic Media Technician to provide senior level technical support for scoring, timing and LED video display systems, as well as CATV distribution and other building systems, as required. This person will maintain and design all electronic equipment and systems used for the support of events and daily use of the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. This includes installation, maintenance and design of broadcast interfacing, audio and video distribution to national television networks and statistical data relating to live athletic events. This position requires a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. A degree in Engineering or Engineering Technologies with specialization in Electronics or related field is preferred.1-2 years of concurrent?experience in the following areas are required: Electronic Engineering (Design / Modification / Repair); Sporting Venue Support (Audio / Visual / Broadcast); and Computer skills (Networking / Serial data / Fiber Optics / Windows OS).
