MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University volleyball team travels to Fort Worth, Texas, to face TCU on Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m.

The match, which is the fourth-meeting all time between the two schools, will be televised on FSSW+.

“Our team has worked hard in the gym the past couple of days to prepare for TCU,” says coach Jill Kramer. “They have been very competitive and continued to stay focused on the things we need to control going on the road.”

The Mountaineers (14-1, 1-0) are fresh off their first-ever win in Big 12 Conference play against Kansas State, while improving to 8-0 at home in front of their third-largest crowd ever at the WVU Coliseum. West Virginia is one of 15 teams nationally with one loss or less this season.

The Horned Frogs (11-5, 0-2) dropped both of their first two Big 12 matches in straight sets to then-No. 5 Texas and Kansas, respectively.

Kramer and the Mountaineers are 2-1 on the road this season, and have community service projects planned while on their six-day trip, which will continue with a trip to Lubbock, Texas, on Friday.

“Anytime we go on one of our ‘business’ trips, we love to take the opportunity to be great ambassadors for WVU and the state of West Virginia,” Kramer says. “We will do a few service projects while we are in Texas, which I think is really special since we have a few players from this area.”

West Virginia is just one win away from tying its most wins in a single season since 2009, and sophomore setter Brittany Sample surpassed 1,500 career assists last Friday.

The Mountaineers will be back in action again on Saturday, Oct. 5, at 2 p.m., in Lubbock, Texas, against Texas Tech, to conclude the roadtrip.
