Track: Mountaineers Complete at Sea Ray Relays

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University track and field team competed in day one of the Sea Ray Relays this afternoon in Knoxville, Tenn.

Freshman Sydney Cummings led in the high jump finishing in seven place after clearing 1.65 meters, while senior Natasha Redman followed in 13th place (1.60 meters).

Senior Jamie Cokeley also had a good afternoon after she finished in eighth place in the first section of 1,500-meter race. Sophomore Jordan Hamric followed in 12th place (4:46.22).

Junior Stephanie Caruso finished the afternoon coming in 26th place (4:45.13) in the final section of the 1,500-meter race.

The Mountaineers are set to continue action tomorrow with competition starting at 8:45 a.m. Also tomorrow, seniors Keri Bland, Karly Hamric, Kaylyn Christopher and junior Jessica O’Connell are set to compete in the Sun Angel Classic in Tempe, Ariz.
