Hamric Finishes NCAA Bid

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University senior runner Jordan Hamric ended her career as a Mountaineer with a 12th-place finish in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the 2013 NCAA Division I Track & Field Championships in Eugene, Ore., on Saturday afternoon.

Hamric finished with a time of 10:16.92 and garnered second team All-America honors – the first of her career. The Bruceton Mills, W.Va., native becomes the 33rd athlete in WVU program history to receive All-America honors.

Hamric ends her career as the school record holder in the event, which she set in the semi-finals on Thursday at Hayward Field with a time of 10:06.47.

Hamric’s performance concludes the 2013 outdoor track and field season for the Mountaineers.
