MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University’s Greg Isdaner has been named to The Sporting News Freshman All-America team released today. Isdaner, a 6-foot-4-inch, 315-pounder from Gladwyne, Pa., earned his first start against Eastern Washington and started 11 of 12 regular season games this year. Isdaner helped the Mountaineers to a No. 2 national ranking in rushing offense (302.3 yards per game) and No. 3 ranking in scoring offense (38.9 ppg.). The Mountaineers were fourth in total offense averaging 463 yards per game. Quinton Andrews, a 6-foot, 205-pound Opa Locka, Fla., resident, was named to the publication’s third team. Andrews picked off a team-best four passes for 65 yards and was also in on 72 tackles and a pair of pass breakups. Andrews also recovered a fumble this year,, making 11 of 12 starts this season. West Virginia (10-2) takes on Georgia Tech in the 2007 Toyota Gator Bowl in Jacksonville, Fla., on Jan. 1.
