MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Devin Ebanks was named Big East Conference Rookie of the Week for the second time this season, the conference announced Monday morning. Ebanks picks up the award after enjoying a pair of 16-point performances in games last week against Pitt and Villanova. The Long Island City, N.Y., resident had his fourth double-double of the season against 12th-ranked Villanova last Friday when he scored 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Ebanks has now boosted his scoring average to 9.1 points per game and he continues to lead the team in rebounding with an average of 6.6 boards per game. The Mountaineers (17-8, 6-6) play host to Notre Dame (14-10, 5-7) Wednesday night at the WVU Coliseum. The Irish have won two in a row including a 67-57 victory over South Florida Sunday at the Convocation Center. Tip off for Wednesday’s game is 7 pm. The contest is being televised by the Big East Network.
