MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia’s Da’Sean Butler was named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) all-district team, announced today.

Butler joins Notre Dame’s Luke Harangody, Syracuse’s Wesley Johnson, Georgetown’s Greg Monroe and Villanova’s Scottie Reynolds on the District 5 team. The second team consists of Jerome Dyson (Connecticut), Lazar Hayward (Marquette), Jeremy Hazell (Seton Hall), Dominique Jones (USF) and Andy Rautins (Syracuse).

Butler has made six game-winning shots this season including a pair of game winners in the Big East tournament. Butler is averaging 17.4 points and 6.3 rebounds per game and recently became just the third player in school history to score 2,000 points for his career.

The other two were consensus All-Americans Jerry West and Hot Rod Hundley.

All 240 all-district honorees are now eligible for the Stae Farm Division I All-America teams, to be announced on Saturday, April 3, at 11 a.m. during the Final Four in Indianapolis, Ind.
