VSR: Miller Named Student-Athlete of the Week
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Senior forward Blake Miller has been named West Virginia University’s Student-Athlete of the Week for her performance in a perfect 2-0 weekend to open BIG EAST Conference action.
The St. Louis, Mo., native totaled five points against a pair of 2010 NCAA tournament teams. She scored the game winner in double overtime at USF, including a season-high 93 minutes in the road win.
Yesterday, Miller recorded the first multi-point game of the season with one goal and one assist in an upset win over No. 8 Marquette. She scored her team-leading fourth goal of the season and 27th of her career against Marquette, which featured the reigning BIG EAST Goalkeeper and Defensive Players of the Year.
