Wrestling: Young and Pennesi Move Up in Rankings
MORGANTOWN, W.Va – After placing first at this past weekend’s Washington & Jefferson Tournament, junior Shane Young and redshirt sophomore Nathan Pennesi each moved up in the Wrestling Report and InterMat rankings. Young (125) is ranked No. 18 in the Wrestling Report individual rankings and entered the InterMat for the first time this week at No. 20. Pennesi (141) moved up one spot to No. 19 in the InterMat poll, while he rose three spots to No. 19 in the Wrestling Report rankings. Redshirt senior Matt Ryan, who sat out on Saturday, is ranked No. 21 by Wrestling Report. Also ranked for the Mountaineers are redshirt senior Brandon Williamson (HWT) at No. 15 by Wrestling Report, and redshirt junior Colin Johnston (133) at No. 16 by Wrestling Report and No. 14 by InterMat.
