Football: Orange Bowl Ticket Information

MORGANTOWN, W.Va – Tickets for West Virginia's appearance in the 2012 Discover Orange Bowl on Wednesday, Jan. 4, in Miami Gardens, Fla., are now on sale to the general public online at WVUGAME.com.

Available tickets in the WVU allotment are $99 each and can be purchased on-line at WVUGAME.com or by calling the Mountaineer Ticket Office at 1-800-WVU GAME. Phone sales will begin Monday, Dec. 5, at 9 a.m.

Fans purchasing tickets through the Mountaineer Ticket Office will be given an opportunity to request an upgrade of their order. Fans can requests upgrades to tickets in the WVU allotment that are priced between $120 and $165.

If available, upgrades will be processed on Thursday, Dec. 8 and automatically charged to the credit card provided to complete the bowl ticket transaction. All upgrades will be processed based on availability after priority orders from Mountaineer Athletic Club donors and season ticket holders are processed. If upgrades are not available, the order will be filled with the best available seats in the WVU allotment.

All 2011 Mountaineer Athletic Club donors and football season ticket holders may place their priority bowl ticket requests online at WVUGAME.com by following the instructions found in the priority bowl mailing received in November. The priority deadline is Wednesday, Dec. 7.

In an effort to accommodate as many priority requests as possible with the best available seating, there are order limits on priority requests for the 2012 Discover Orange Bowl. MAC donors and season ticket holders are encouraged to log-in to their online account and submit their online request or return their form to the Mountaineer Ticket Office to take advantage of their priority status. All priority requests will be allocated with the best available seating based on MAC priority.

MAC donors and season ticket holders can also request additional tickets, priced at $99 each, through the Mountaineer Ticket Office.

A limited number of lower level tickets for WVU students will be available at the Mountaineer Ticket Office in the WVU Coliseum on Monday, Dec. 5 and will be priced at $110 each. Student tickets must be purchased in person with a valid WVU ID and sales are limited to two tickets per valid student ID.

“Earning a trip to the Discover Orange Bowl is a great reward for our football team. I know the team is excited about our first-ever trip to the Orange Bowl, and I think it will be a great experience in Miami for our fans too,” Director of Athletics Oliver Luck said. “We will have tickets for sale online tonight and first thing Monday morning at the ticket office in an effort to accommodate our fans. I encourage all WVU fans to get their requests into our ticket office so that Mountaineer Nation can be together in full force at Sun Life Stadium on Jan. 4.“

West Virginia will face Clemson in the game to be played at Sun Life Stadium and scheduled to kickoff at 8:00 p.m. The Mountaineers will be making their 10th straight bowl appearance and 31st all-time.
