Swimming: WVU Heads to Championships
The events will start on Wednesday night at 6 p.m., with the 800 free relay and 200 medley relay. The following three days will see the preliminary swims begin at 10 a.m., and the finals start at 6 p.m. The teams will be looking to improve on 2011 finishes when the women took third place, while the men finished in fourth. Louisville won on the men’s side for the second-straight season in 2011, while the Cardinal women won their first BIG EAST title, ending a 14-year winning streak by Notre Dame. Last weekend all four divers scored points to give the Mountaineers an early edge over some schools. The men currently sit in third place with 46 points, while the women are in sixth place with 16 points. To view a live video stream, as well as live results, please visit BIGEAST.org. MSNsportsNET.com will also supply daily updates from the meet. |
