Men's Soccer: Spring Schedule Released

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University men's soccer coach Marlon LeBlanc has announced a six-game spring schedule, highlighted by a game against the Columbus Crew of Major League Soccer on March 17.
After taking on the New York Red Bulls in the final match of the spring season last year, WVU will open with the Crew in the 2012 spring season on March 17, at 1 p.m. The match will be held at Crew Stadium in Columbus, Ohio.
The Mountaineers will then travel to Upper St. Clair, Pa., to take on another professional team, the Pittsburgh Riverhounds of the USL Professional Division. The match will be March 24, at 1 p.m., and will be played at Upper St. Clair High.
WVU stays on the road for a match on April 14, at 7 p.m., against Wake Forest in Winston Salem, N.C., at Spry Stadium.
West Virginia then begins a homestand that features a match against Slippery Rock on April 22, at 7 pm., followed by a match against West Virginia Tech on April 28, at noon.
The spring will culminate with the annual alumni match on April 29, at noon.
All home matches will be played at Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium and admittance will be free.
