Women's Basketball: WVU Enters AP Poll
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia women’s basketball team entered the Associated Press poll at No. 25 this week. Receiving 85 votes, the Mountaineers (23-8) enter the top 25 for the first time this season after defeating Syracuse in the second round and No. 12/14 Georgetown in the quarterfinal round at the BIG EAST Championship. WVU advances to the semifinals of the BIG EAST tournament for the fifth straight season and will face No. 3/3 Notre Dame on Monday at 6 p.m. The game will be broadcast on ESPNU. |
