Men's Basketball: Browne Sidelined

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – West Virginia University guard Gary Browne underwent surgery Tuesday to repair internal damage in his right ankle. The surgery was performed by Dr. Kelly Bal at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.

Coordinator of Athletic Training Services Randy Meador expects Browne to be sidelined for the next 2-3 months.

A native of Cupey, Puerto Rico, Browne played in all 33 games as a freshman, starting three contests. He averaged 6.5 points, 3.9 rebounds and was second on the team in assists with 98.
