As the warm summer temperatures continue outside, members of the West Virginia women's soccer team made a visit inside WVU's Children's Hospital Tuesday.

Assistant coach Marisa Kanela and 14 student-athletes made the visit, spending time with pediatric patients and their families.

"It’s a good feeling to stop in and say hello, and put a smile on someone else’s face," said senior defender Mallory Smith. "The kids love seeing the trophies and the families love seeing the flying WV logo. Our community rallies behind us and attends our games in the fall, so for us to show up is the least that we can do."

The players moved from room to room, signing autographs, handing out gifts and showing off the team's 2011 trophies.
