Women's Basketball Non-Conference Announced
WVU will play host to Concord on Oct. 31 for an exhibition game, and will open the regular season at home on Friday, Nov. 9 with UNC Wilmington. The Mountaineers will take to the road for the first time on Nov. 12 as they face Boston University. The following Saturday, WVU will face USC Upstate at home prior to embarking on to the FIU Thanksgiving Classic hosted by Florida International in Miami, Fla. The tournament schedule has yet to be determined, however, the Mountaineers will have the chance to face LSU, Iowa and FIU at the tournament. The Mountaineers open the month of December in Charlottesville, Va., as they take on Virginia of the ACC on Dec. 2 at the John Paul Jones Arena. WVU will then travel to Charleston, W.Va., to face in-state rival and Conference USA team Marshall in the Chesapeake Energy Capital Classic at the Charleston Civic Center on Dec. 4. Three of the final four games of the non-conference portion will be at the Coliseum with the only road contest at Youngstown State out of the Horizon League on Dec. 16. The three home games are with Atlantic 10 opponents St. Bonaventure on Dec. 8 and Duquesne on Dec. 20, while closing out the non-conference schedule with Appalachian State on Dec. 28.
