Preseason Camp is Here!

Well, the 2012 football season is finally here! Preseason camp begins later this evening when the Mountaineers hit the field in preparation for the 2012 season opener against Marshall at Milan Puskar Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 1, at noon.

West Virginia will have 19 preseason practices on 15 dates [there are four two-a-day sessions] starting with today’s 5 p.m. workout.

Coach Dana Holgorsen will provide his post-practice remarks following tonight’s workout and those will be available online later this evening, along with a complete transcription of his press conference. Returning players will be available for interviews on Friday morning and then select assistant coaches will be in the interview room beginning Saturday morning.

Newcomers [freshmen and transfers] will be made available to the media beginning on Tuesday, Aug. 14.

This year’s Mountaineer Fan Day will take place on Sunday, Aug. 12 and will start at 1 p.m. inside the Caperton Indoor Practice Facility, and the coaching staff will conclude preseason camp with a Football 101 session for women at the stadium on Sunday, Aug. 19.
