Preseason Day Six

- Today is day No. 6 for the WVU men’s soccer team, which held its eighth practice this morning at 9 a.m.

- This afternoon the team will get together in the locker room for its first film session of the season.

- Coach Marlon LeBlanc hosted the team at his house for a dinner last night and to catch the Chicago Fire and Philadelphia Union match. Former Mountaineer Raymon Gaddis started the match and played 60 minutes for the Union in the 3-1 loss.

- Preseason rankings have begun to filter in for the 2012 season with the Mountaineers receiving votes in the NSCAA Top 25 and CollegeSoccerNews.com Top 30.

- This morning it was announced that WVU was picked to finish second in the MAC Preseason Poll, as voted on by the league coaches. Akron was chosen first, while Northern Illinois was in a close third behind the Mountaineers.
