WVU Ranked No. 18

The West Virginia University men’s soccer team was ranked No. 18 in the TopDrawerSoccer.com preseason poll, the web site announced today.

The Mountaineers previously received votes in the NSCAA/Continental Tire and College Soccer News preseason polls.

The WVU men’s soccer team opens its 2012 season with a match against Hartford on Saturday, Aug. 25, at 7 p.m. The Mountaineers will then host Stetson on Monday, Aug. 27, at 1 p.m.

Saturday evening’s match with Hartford will also serve as a “Dollar Day” with all tickets, hot dogs, popcorn and Coca-Colas available for purchase for just one dollar each. The game is also “Poster Night” with free schedule posters available to fans.
