Men’s Soccer Ranked; Bevin Earns Honor

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Following a tie on the road at Penn State and a 4-2 win at home against Oakland last week, the West Virginia University men’s soccer team has moved up to No. 21 in Soccer America’s Top 25. The Mountaineers moved up one spot from No. 22 last week.

WVU continues a four-game homestand with a match against American on Saturday, Sept. 15, at 7 p.m. The game will serve as “Dollar Night” with all tickets, hot dogs, popcorn and Coca-Colas available for purchase for one dollar each.

Sophomore Andy Bevin was also recognized as the College Sports Madness MAC Player of the Week for his efforts in the win against Oakland. Bevin ended a 333 minute scoreless drought for WVU with a goal in the fourth minute of play against Oakland, while he assisted on the final goal of the match.
