MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Sophomore women’s soccer player Kate Schwindel has been named to the 11-player TopDrawerSoccer Team of the Week. The Livingston, N.J., native totaled three goals and four assists in two matches last weekend, while tying two schools records in the process.

Against High Point on Sept. 16, Schwindel finished with two goals – the first multi-goal game of her career, and three assists, including the game-winning helper. Her three assists in a match tie the school record, becoming only the fourth player to do so. Schwindel’s seven points also tied a single match record. Her seven-point outing is the first since Ashley Banks posted three goals and one assist against Georgetown in 2007.

Schwindel recorded her fourth career one-goal and one-assist match against Towson on Sept. 14. She scored her second game-winner of the season and fourth of her career against the Panthers.
