Diving Hosts Penn State
The Mountaineers are coming off a strong showing in their first meet of the season, winning the West Virginia State Games, with men’s divers Richard Pokorny, Christian Parker, and Keith Carmichael taking the top three spots on the 3-meter board. Pokorny qualified for the NCAA Zone Championships on both the 1-meter and 3-meter boards. For the women divers, Haily VandePoel won the 3-meter diving competition and placed second on the 1-meter board. Freshman Lindsay Schmidt took second and third on the 3-meter and 1-meter, respectively. VandePoel earned a qualifying mark for the NCAA Zone Championships on the 1-meter board.
