Pro Football Update

Fifteen former West Virginia University football players are currently on NFL rosters.

Here is an update on each of them following week eight of the NFL season.

Corey McIntyre - Buffalo Bills
The Bills were idle this week.

J.T. Thomas - Chicago Bears
Thomas contributed on special teams in the Bears 23-22 win over the Panthers.

Adam Jones - Cincinnati Bengals
The Bills were idle this week.

Robert Sands - Cincinnati Bengals
Sands has been placed on injured reserve, after he suffered a season-ending chest injury.

Don Barclay - Green Bay Packers
In the Packers 24-15 win against the Jaguars, Barclay was active and played exclusively on special teams.

Pat McAfee - Indianapolis Colts
McAfee punted twice for a total of 87 yards in the Colts 19-13 win over the Titans.

For the season, McAfee is averaging 48 yards per punt, which ranks him seventh in the NFL.

Ellis Lankster - New York Jets
In the Jets 30-9 loss to the Dolphins, Lankster record one assisted tackle.

Owen Schmitt - Oakland Raiders
Schmitt saw action in the Raiders 26-16 win over the Chiefs, but he did not accumulate any statistics.

Will Johnson - Pittsburgh Steelers
Johnson scored the first touchdown of his career on a one-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter of the Steelers 27-12 win over the Redskins.

Johnson had one other catch in the game and totaled eight receiving yards.

Ryan Mundy - Pittsburgh Steelers
In the Steelers 27-12 win over the Redskins, Mundy collected six tackles, including three solo stops.

Bruce Irvin - Seattle Seahawks
Irvin recorded one tackle in the Seahawks 28-24 loss to the Lions.

Irvin’s 4.5 sacks rank him second amongst rookies and tie him for No. 24 in the NFL.

Najee Goode - Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Goode was inactive for the Buccaneers 36-17 win over the Vikings.

Keith Tandy - Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Tandy was inactive for the Buccaneers 36-17 win over the Vikings.

Darius Reynaud - Tennessee Titans
In the Titans 19-13 loss to the Colts, Reynaud returned two kicks (one punt and one kickoff) for a total of 26 yards, along with carrying the ball one time for four yards.

Chris Neild - Washington Redskins
Neild has been placed on injured reserve, after he suffered a season-ending knee injury.
