Blosser scored her third goal in a Mountaineer uniform, the game-winning score at Texas on Oct. 26. Her goal gave WVU its first win in extra time this season, and helped finish its inaugural season in the Big 12 unbeaten. Blosser also helped the defense pick up its eighth shutout of the year in the 1-0 win over the Longhorns. Keane made seven saves against the Longhorns in picking up her 11th win of the season. The seven saves are one shy of her career high as the sophomore faced 11 shots and six corner kicks. Keane, who leads the Big 12 in save percentage with an .878 clip, recorded her eighth shutout of the year – fourth in conference play. West Virginia has had at least one weekly award winner in seven of the season’s 11 weeks. WVU, unbeaten in its last 13 matches, won the regular-season championship to earn the No. 1 seed at the 2012 Big 12 Soccer Championship in San Antonio, Texas. The Mountaineers will face No. 8 seed TCU at 6:30 p.m. EDT on Oct. 31. |
