MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Following a 4710 showing this past weekend, the West Virginia University rifle team is ranked No. 1 in the Collegiate Rifle Coaches Association (CRCA) Poll for the fourth straight week.

The Mountaineers’ (5-0, 2-0 GARC) ranking is based on their team score shot in a win over No. 12 Navy (4613) on Oct. 27.

TCU (4667) and Kentucky (4656) changed positions and come in at No. 2 and No. 3, respectively. Jacksonville State (4651) holds steady at No. 4, while Murray State (4651) moved up five spots to No. 5.

No. 6 Nebraska, No. 7 Alaska-Fairbanks, No. 8 Army and No. 9 Memphis each dropped back one spot, and Nevada entered the top 10 at No. 10.

Today’s rankings are based on each team’s most-recent score.

The Mountaineers are off this week and return to the WVU Rifle Range for Great American Rifle Conference matches on Nov. 9 and Nov. 11 against No. 13 Ole Miss and No. 15 NC State.
