Three Wrestlers Remain in Rankings

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Heading into its showdown against No. 1 Penn State this Sunday, Nov. 18, three West Virginia University wrestlers remain in the multiple Division I wrestling rankings.

Senior Shane Young (125) is ranked No. 20 by InterMat, No. 18 by WIN and No. 16 by Amateur Wrestling News. Young carries a 1-0 record into this weekend.

After beginning his season with a 2-3 record, junior Colin Johnston (133) garnered a No. 17 ranking from Intermat.

Junior Nathan Pennesi (141), who placed third at last weekend’s Wolfpack Open, is ranked No. 19 by InterMat and No. 17 by WIN. The Latrobe, Pa., native holds a 6-1 record this season.

Action against the top-ranked Nittany Lions is set to begin at 2 p.m. at the WVU Coliseum.
