Pro Football Update

Sixteen former West Virginia University football players are currently on NFL rosters.

Here is an update on each of them following week 12 of the NFL season.

Corey McIntyre - Buffalo Bills
McIntyre received his second starting nod of the season in the Bills 20-13 loss to the Colts, but he did not record any statistics.

J.T. Thomas - Chicago Bears
Thomas, who contributed on special teams, did not record any statistics in the Bears 28-10 win over the Vikings.

Adam Jones - Cincinnati Bengals
In the Bengals 34-10 win over the Raiders, Jones collected three tackles and had one pass breakup.

Robert Sands - Cincinnati Bengals
Sands has been placed on injured reserve, after he suffered a season-ending chest injury.

Don Barclay - Green Bay Packers
Barclay contributed on special teams in the Packers 38-10 loss to the Giants.

Pat McAfee - Indianapolis Colts
In the Colts 20-13 win over the Bills, McAfee punted five times for a total 256 yards, including a long of 59 yards. Of McAfee’s five kicks, two were downed inside the 20-yard line.

For the season, McAfee is averaging 48.1 yards per punt, which is good for eighth in the NFL.

Selvish Capers – New York Giants
Capers was elevated from the practice squad to the Giants’ 53-man roster, but he was not active in the Giants 38-10 win over the Packers.

Ellis Lankster - New York Jets
Lankster recorded six total tackles, five of which were solo, in the Jets 49-19 loss to the Patriots.

Owen Schmitt - Oakland Raiders
Schmitt carried the ball one time for a loss of one yard in the Raiders 34-10 loss to the Bengals.

Will Johnson - Pittsburgh Steelers
In the Steelers 20-14 loss to the Browns, Johnson had one reception for 13 yards.

Ryan Mundy - Pittsburgh Steelers
Mundy recorded two tackles in the Steelers 20-14 loss to the Browns.

Bruce Irvin - Seattle Seahawks
In the Seahawks 24-21 loss to the Dolphins, Irvin recorded one tackle.

Irvin has seven sacks this season, which ranks first amongst rookie and has him tied for No. 18 in the NFL.

Najee Goode - Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Goode was not active in the Buccaneers 24-23 loss to the Falcons.

Keith Tandy - Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Tandy made one tackle in the Buccaneers 24-23 loss to the Falcons.

Darius Reynaud - Tennessee Titans
In the Titans 24-19 loss to the Jaguars, Reynaud had two carries for five yards, was targeted twice in the passing game and five returns (four kickoffs and one punt) for a total of 88 yards. Reynaud had a kick return long of 29 yards.

Chris Neild - Washington Redskins
Neild has been placed on injured reserve, after he suffered a season-ending knee injury.
