Stedman Bailey and Tavon Austin were named to the 2012 CBS Sports.com College Football All-America team, revealed today.

Bailey was one of three receivers picked on the team along with Baylor’s Terrance Williams and USC’s Marqise Lee. Bailey leads the country with 23 touchdown receptions to go along with 106 catches for 1,501 yards. The junior ranks third in the nation in receiving yards per game (125.1), is tied for third in scoring (11.5) and is fourth in receptions per game (8.8).

Bailey is the WVU school record holder in career touchdown catches with 39.

Austin, a second team pick as a wide receiver, made the CBS Sports.com first unit as an all-purpose performer after a regular season that saw him score touchdowns four different ways this season as a pass receiver, rusher, kickoff returner and punt returner.

For the year, Austin has caught 110 passes for 1,259 yards and 12 touchdowns at slot receiver while rushing for 598 yards and three scores as a running back. He has also produced 903 yards in punt and kickoff returns, giving him 2,760 all-purpose yards for the year. Austin is the first player in school history to amass 7,000 all-purpose yards for his career.

West Virginia, Alabama, Texas A&M, Florida State and Notre Dame had multiple players on this year’s team.
Austin and Bailey will be facing Syracuse in this year’s Pinstripe Bowl to be played on Saturday, Dec. 29, at Yankee Stadium in New York. Kickoff for the game is slated for 3:15 p.m. and the contest will be televised nationally on ESPN.
