Last Saturday morning the West Virginia University baseball team participated in a 12 mile team walk along the Monongahela River.

At 7:30 a.m., the team gathered outside of 84 Lumber in Star City and piled into cars for the journey to the Goshen Road exit off of Interstate 79.

The start point was officially in Little Falls, going through the Mon River Trail South and the Caperton Trail portions of the Rail-Trail system.

It took the majority of the group about three and a half hours to get through the trail that led back to the start point. It was a great team bonding exercise and there were many laughs had by all.

The players have been participating in individual workouts since the semester began, and official practice is set to begin at 5:30 p.m., on Thursday, Jan. 25.
