MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University rifle team is ranked No. 1 in the College Rifle Coaches Association Poll for the eighth straight week.

The Mountaineers (10-0, 5-0 GARC) have stood at the top of the poll since reclaiming the ranking on Dec. 4, 2012.

There is very little movement in this week’s poll, as TCU and Kentucky continue to trail the Mountaineers at No. 2 and No. 3, respectively. Alaska-Fairbanks ranks No. 4, Army ranks No. 5 and Jacksonville State checks in at No. 6.

Air Force moved up one spot to No. 7, while Nebraska dropped one to No. 8. Memphis retained its No. 9 ranking, and Mississippi entered the poll at No. 10.

The Mountaineers shoot for the Great American Rifle Conference regular-season crown this Saturday, Feb. 2, against the Wildcats, at Barker Hall, in Lexington, Ky.
