Track Posts Personal-Best Marks at Akron

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University track and field team posted two personal-best marks in the pole vault Friday evening at the Akron Invitational.

In the blue division of pole vault, sophomore Kiley Defibaugh and junior Kimberly Mulvin finished with personal-best marks of 3.51 meters and 3.36 meters for a fourth and sixth-place finish, respectively.

The distance medley relay team of senior Stephanie Aldea, freshman Peyton Hampson, sophomore Josie Crouch and junior Allison Pettit competed in the gold division heat and finished second with a time of 12:07.20.

In her first time competing in the discus throw this season, senior Heather Adams placed fourth with a throw of 44.59 meters.

Competition at the Akron Invitational resumes tomorrow morning at 9 a.m., at Stile Athletics Field House. Live results from the meet can be found at, while a live video stream can be viewed at Final results and a recap will be posted on following the completion of the competition.
