MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University diving squad will face off on the boards against George Mason on Saturday, Feb. 9 in the WVU Natatorium. The meet is scheduled to begin at 9:45 a.m.

This will be the final regular season meet for the divers before heading to the Big 12 Championships and NCAA Zone Championships.

“I’m happy we were able to add this meet to the schedule as it will be a good precursor for the divers to prepare for the conference championships,” diving coach Michael Grapner says. “All of the divers have been diving well and all week we’ve been focusing on consistency and list development.”

In the most recent meet for the men’s divers against TCU, junior Richard Pokorny won both the 1-meter (306.82) and 3-meter (350.92) dives. Freshman Christian Parker placed second on both dives, scoring 299.17 on the 1-meter, and 313.87 on the 3-meter, while junior junior Liam McLaughlin placed third on the 3-meter with a score of 309.52.

The women were last in action against Ohio as sophomore Haily VandePoel continued her impressive season with a first place finish on the 3-meter with a score of 305.07. She also placed fourth on the 1-meter with a score of 252.22.
