Rifle Enters Postseason at No. 1
The Mountaineers’ (11-1, 5-1 GARC) ranking is based on the average of their top-three scores shot at three different venues: 4720 (WVU Rifle Range), 4719 (at Alaska-Fairbanks) and 4709 (at Army). TCU and Kentucky continue to rank No. 2 and No. 3, respectively, while Jacksonville State moved up two spots to No. 4. Alaska-Fairbanks dropped one spot to No. 5. Army fell one spot to No. 6, while Air Force, Nebraska and Memphis maintained their rankings at No. 7, No. 8 and No. 9, respectively. WVU’s last opponent, Murray State, moved in to the Top 10 at No. 10. The Mountaineers will shoot an NCAA Qualifying Match against Ohio State this Sunday, Feb. 17, at Converse Hall, in Columbus, Ohio. The match was previously schedule for Feb. 16. |
