WVU Represented at Cyprus

West Virginia All-America defender Bry McCarthy, along with a pair of future Mountaineers in signees Kadeisha Buchanan and Ashley Lawrence, will represent Canada’s Women’s National Team at a pre-tournament camp at the 2013 Cyprus Women’s Cup.

The trio are among 25 players who arrived in Cyprus today to compete in the 12-team international soccer tournament that begins March 6 against Switzerland.

After taking on Switzerland and Finland, Canada will close out group play March 11 against the Netherlands prior to the playoff round.

Canada finished in second place at last year’s Cyprus Women’s Cup.
