Williams Named USTFCCCA All-American

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Following her seventh-place finish in the mile at the 2013 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships in Fayetteville, Ark., freshman Kelly Williams was named a USTFCCCA First Team All-American, as announced Monday.

This is the second All-America honor this season for Williams, who became the 32nd athlete in WVU track and field program history and the 13th under coach Sean Cleary to garner All-America honors. Williams finished the indoor season with a personal-best mile time of 4:36.77, which ranks No. 3 in WVU program history.

WVU will open the outdoor season at the Wake Forest Open in Winston-Salem, N.C., on March 15-16.
